The ERP system was upgraded to version 9i of Forms with Oracle APEX, and the system reports developed in Reports were migrated to Jasper. It was not a direct migration, but also a reengineering of their processes to adapt their system to the new business rules.
The migration was gradual, carried out by modules and areas of the company, which allowed not interrupting the company’s operation at the same time that the users were using the new modules.
The modernization not only allowed the company to optimize its processes but also to save licensing costs, since APEX, unlike Forms, is included in Oracle Database free of charge.
